Greenflash: You've been on scratch for more than a year. What was scratch like in the past? Was the website an different?
joeisawesome:In the past Scratch had a more "varied" front page, so to say. Names like Bluestribute, Bobby500, or Newareagle were always seen up there. Forumwise, it was only recently until they made Inspiration & More and Text-based games. All we would post in was the Show and Tell Forum.
G: What improvements would you like to see in the next version of scratch?
j:Perhaps a gravity block would be nice, so you could do less coding for jumping and falling. And maybe a Free-form Select tool for the Paint Editor.
G: What improvements to the website would you like?
j:Seeing the everllasting conflict caused by the lack of games and too much art on the Front Page, a filter would be in suggestion. When uploading a project, you have two options to put it in: Games, or Arts. Then the Games would have a "Top viewed, loved, remixed, downloaded, etc." on the Front Page, and same with the Arts.
G: Any thoughts about the future of the front page?
j:Hopefully they will do something to destroy the battle between Games and Art on the Front Page.
G: What "era" of scratch are we in?
J:Personally I have to say we are in the era of Forum Dragon Hatching.
G: What is something special about this time in Scratch history?
j:We get to see some art on the Front, which we never had back in the day.
G: What are a few things you think the next "generation" of Scrathers will remember about this time?
j: The dragons.
G: How do you want to leave your mark on Scratch?
j:To make sure that all members, old or new, carry on our traditions and make us live on.
G: What do you think every new member should know about Scratch?
j:It may see tough at first, but trust me, you'll get the hang of it, and maybe even get Front Page!
